Why seek therapy?

People come to therapy to understand, to be understood, and to make changes. The change could be an increase in their self-confidence, the joy, or the understanding of their lives. It could be to have a better relationship with themselves and others. It could also be to lead a healthier, fulfilling life.

People who recognize the discrepancy of where they are with where they want to be, describe the state as being trapped, lack of control, disconnected. Feelings of shame, guilt, fear, sadness, helpless, and anger are quite common. It is my responsibility of a therapist to provide a safe and confidential therapeutic environment for people to find a way out of this predicament.
